This week, Caesars-owned brand World Series of Poker announced that they've launched operations in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The service will be available via the domain as well as through the site. There will be cash games as well as a number of tournaments and events that feature the likes of Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and other poker variants.

The news comes as the operator was granted a gaming license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, letting it offer services to punters of age that are physically located in the province.

Regarding the launch, World Series of Poker Executive Director Ty Stewart said, "Canadian poker players have always been a significant portion of the WSOP playing base. We are thrilled to bring the chance to bring WSOP glory to you."

"With online bracelets and exclusive qualifiers to the WSOP in Las Vegas, we expect a wave of new WSOP champions from The Six."
