Kindred Group has revealed that it has partnered with the Swinomish Native American tribe and will launch a Unibet-branded retail sportsbook at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge in Anacortes, Washington.
The term of the deal is good for six years, and there is also a five-year extension available that will see Kindred's most popular gaming brand operating a sportsbook on-site. Currently, players cannot take part in online sportsbetting in Washington State, but if the activity is legalized and regulated, it would give Kindred an important foothold in the state.
Kindred is currently active in the states of Virginia, Iowa, Arizona, Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Regarding the deal Kindred VP for North America Manuel Stan said, "We are very excited to expand our footprint in the US, and to do so together with the Swinomish tribe. The opening of a Sportsbook Lounge at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge will allow us to offer best in class sports betting experience."
No launch date for the casino was available as of press time.
