Nevada Records 17th Month of $1 Billion in Gambling Revenues

The state of Nevada's gaming industry recorded its seventeenth straight month of revenues exceeding $1 billion, as the state hauled in $1.31 billion during the month of July.

The numbers were actually down from the same time last year, but up 28.4% when compared to July 2019. Clark County, host of the Las Vegas Strip collected $1.12 billion of the total. The Vegas Strip itself had revenues of $773.3 million, down 3% from 2021. Downtown Las Vegas had $60 million in revenues, while North Las Vegas had $24.5 million. Both numbers were also down from last year.

Washoe County, home to Reno, Sparks, and North Lake Tahoe saw revenues drop by 5% when compared to 2021. South Lake Tahoe's gambling numbers were down 1.3%.

Sportsbetting generated handle of $419.4 million, down 51.3% from last year and a new low for this year.

Taxes generated for the month were $90.3 million, down 7% from last year.
