This week it was revealed that sportsbetting operator Top Sport UAB has been fined €15,000 by the Lithuania Gambling Supervisory Committee after it was revealed that two of its retail shops failed to install digital recording systems.
The two offending shops were located in the town of Klaipėda, and an investigation by the regulator found that the cameras weren't properly installed in order to monitor activity. One spot had a security system, but the cameras were blurred, making it so that faces couldn't be captured. Both locations also didn't properly capture images of financial transactions.
The company was found to have breached 15, Part 3 of the country's gambling law, which opened them to the fine. This is the second time this year the company was fined €25,000 for breaching rules on gambling promotion.
Top Sport can appeal the decision, but no comment from the company was available as of press time.
