GAN Sportsbetting Launches in US

Betting group GAN (Game Account Network) announced today that it has launched its first sportsbetting deployment in the United States by going live with Island View Casino in the state of Mississippi.

The sportsbook features 20 kiosks inside of the casino as well as a mobile sportsbook dubbed "Bet the V", which is powered by the GAN GameSTACK Player Account Management system. Players at the casino can now bet on various casino games such as football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, and other sports. As part of the agreement between Island View and GAN, the company will also provide marketing and customer support for the book.

This is the first sportsbetting launch for GAN through its GAN Sports brand, but the company said that they play to expand further in the United States next year.

Regarding the launch, GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit said, "Following our 2021 acquisition of Coolbet we are thrilled to announce the premiere of GAN Sports, perhaps the most innovative sports experience available on-property anywhere in the US today.

Island View Casino Resort VP of Operations Steve Hendricks also commented, adding: "We selected GAN for the quality of their sports betting technology and managed trading services following our evaluation of all major potential suppliers.
