The state of Delaware set a new online gaming revenue record in the month of August, with the industry bringing in $1.3 million during the period, up 37.2% from the same month in 2021.
The previous revenue record was set the month prior in July, when operators hauled in $1.25 million. Handle was $36.8 million, up 69.6% from the year prior. Online video lottery games (including slots) made up $1 million of the revenue total on handle of $21.8 million. Table game revenues were $221,330 on $15 million in revenues. Poker rake was $37,169.
The top operator in the state was Delaware Park, which had $558,272 in revenue on $15.8 million in handle. Bally's Dover was next at $412,044 on $12.1 million in handle, while Harrington Raceway was third with $326,657 in revenue on $9.8 million in handle.
Sportsbetting generated $354,444 in revenue, up 439.7% from last year when revenues were just $65,678.
