Gaming operator BetMGM announced this week that they've partnered with the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs, as the state of Kansas' sportsbetting industry went live on September 1st.

Despite being located in Missouri, Kansas City sits on the border of Kansas, and the Chiefs are one of the more successful teams in the NFL over the past five years. This makes the team a draw for Kansans, and lucrative for BetMGM to become a partner with. The deal will see BetMGM getting signage at the Chiefs' home of Arrowhead Stadium, as well as digital signage on the team's digital channels like social media. BetMGM will also be offering prizes to fans, as well as gameday experiences.

The price paid for the sponsorship wasn't made available.

Commenting on the deal BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said, "With a rich history and a passionate fan base, the Kansas City Chiefs are an ideal partner. As we launch our sports betting platform in Kansas, we look forward to elevating the game day experience for Chiefs fans throughout the region."

With the launch into the Kansas market, BetMGM is now active in 24 U.S. states across the country. It is partnering with Kansas Crossing Casino in Pittsburg to provide its online services.
