Germany Issues Two New Online Slot Licenses

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

The government of Germany has issued two new online slot licenses this week, with Merkur and The Mill Adventure getting approved to provide games to customers in the country.

Merkur is now allowed to provide online slots from Merkur Spiel, Merkur Sports, and Xtip, while The Mill Adventure will provide games through its Slotmagie site.

The German market has been slow to evolve, with the country's regulator slow to issue gaming licenses.

This news comes as the German state of Saxony-Anhalt's State Administration Office referred 25 gaming companies to a prosecutor's office for investigation. The sites were found to have been operating illegally and will likely face some form of punishment.
