Online gaming operator Flutter Entertainment has announced that they've finalized their acquisition of Italian lottery and gaming group Sisal for €1.91 billion.
The two came to terms for the purchase in December of last year, with the companies having to go through various regulatory approvals before they could close. Sisal is noted for having the lottery licenses for Turkey, Italy, and Morocco, and it also provides casino services in both Italy and Spain.
Flutter used debt to finance the deal, taking on loans from banks to get them over the hump.
The company will now come under Flutter's umbrella, continuing to provide services in their markets.
