Evolution Wraps Up Nolimit City Purchase

Online gaming software group Evolution has continued its expansion by finalizing its purchase of game designer Nolimit City for €340 million.

The deal comes two months after the two sides came to an agreement, as all regulatory hurdles have been cleared. Evolution has paid out €200 million in cash, with the remaining €140 million coming if Nolimit meets performance milestones in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Nolimit City becomes the fourth company that provides slots for Evolution, joining NetEnt, Red Tiger, and Big Time Gaming.

Regarding the finalization of the deal Evolution Chairman Jens von Bahr said, "With the addition of Nolimit City to the Evolution family we extend our portfolio of truly innovative and cutting-edge games from the top brands and game makers in the industry."

Nolimit City Co-Founder Jonas Tegman also commented, adding: "I cannot think of a better match between two companies than between Nolimit City and Evolution; we are fully aligned in terms of people, product, technology and how to get the job done.

"The slot vertical is under massive change, and we can't wait to take on the challenge of global expansion together with Evolution, helping out with navigating towards the best slot product offering in the market."

The consolidation of gaming companies continues. I wonder if this will hamper the creation of new ideas, or if these bigger companies will require the designers to stick to "tried and true" releases...

Yes we have RTG available at limited places but they are deadly even on the lowest bets.
At other casino's we have a large range of providers to play BUT all crap providers.
All the ones that have potential of decent / consistent wins have been blocked to us now.
For instance :
No Limit City / ISoft / Thunderkick / PLayNGo / Hacksaw / Quickspin / Relax just to name a few.

I feel the "do-gooders" have won.

Yeah, you have to love the do-gooders, who push consumers to the black market... where the nefarious criminals actually operate (that aren't in the government!).

I'm very curious to see how it will impact Nolimit games offering. As we know Nolimit really likes to push people's buttons with their themes and extreme volatility and I'm interested to see if them becoming a part of Evolution will change their design concept and roadmap altogether.
