Caesars Launching Sportsbetting App in DC

American betting giant Caesars Entertainment has announced that its Caesars Sportsbook app has launched in Washington DC, migrating from the company's former app which was managed by William Hill.

The app will offer faster payouts, new ways to deposit funds, new bets, additional sports, and a new look and feel that brings the service in-line with the Casesars app in other markets.

Washington DC has seen some upheaval in its sportsbetting industry of late, as the district's Gambet service was a flop. Caesars and William Hill have been operating services in the district for some time. Caesars opened a sportsbook at the Capital One Arena in DC last year, and there are retail books from the company around the city.

Caesars has online operations in a variety of states throughout North America, including New Jersey, Arizona, Michigan, New York, Colorado, Iowa, and more.

Commenting on the launch Caesars Digital Co-President Christ Holdren said, "D.C. remains a special market for us following the historic opening of Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena in 2021.

"This is an important step as we continue to expand our offering for sports fans. We're ready to capitalize on our momentum with our great district partners as the sports calendar ramps up."
