Ukraine Gaming Regulator Sends Curfew Reminder

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

This week Ukraine's Commission on the Regulation of Gambling has issued a reminder to gambling venues that they're bound to operate with curfews due to the ongoing armed conflict with Russia.

The country's gambling venues are beginning to reopen across the country, especially in the western tracts of land that have largely been spared from the Russian onslaught. Still, these areas are subject to curfews, as Ukraine is in martial law. These gambling venues will be subject to the times where people are free to move about, which are at certain times of the day.

Ukraine has a number of casinos and slot halls, with prominent locations being located in the capital of Kyiv and Odesa.

To be honest it feels a bit strange to even read any gambling related news in Ukraine considering the situation the country is going through.

It is weird, but I get it. People need the escape and doing things that they did in their normal lives would probably help with that.

Still, I wouldn't be going out to do much outside of necessities, no matter where I was in the country out of fear. That's just me though.

I agree slim, from one side you do want those businesses to be able to recover, people to be able to get their mind off of things etc. But still it feels like a scary time to think about going to a casino to gamble, so I'm with you on that one.
