Malta Cancels Field of Fortune's Gaming License

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

This week the Malta Gaming Authority announced that it has taken the step of canceling Field of Fortune Limited's licence after the company breached Maltese gaming rules and didn't pay fees.

The licence was canceled effective June 28th, 2022 and means that the company can no longer operate under the MGA's flag. The company breached rules in regard to nine of the country's gaming regulations related to payment of fees. Even with the licence canceled, the MGA says that Field of Fortune still owes the licencing fees and is to make payments to the regulator immediately.

This move comes a week after the MGA revoked the licence of BIB Limited after the company failed to comply with the island's rules and failed to change operations when given a chance by the regulator.

No comment from the company was available as of press time.

Those are definitely bad news for the company. And if they breached any laws, they should've paid the fines as losing a license is definitely a bigger loss than just paying a fee.
