KSA Investigating Unibet for Bonus Issue

Dutch gaming regulator Kansspelautoriteit is investigating gaming operator Unibet over complaints of bonuses offered by the company just one day after they launched in the country.

Multiple complaints from players to the KSA were registered after encountering issues with redeeming bonuses. For their part, Unibet said they know there's issues and that they're working to resolve them.

Unibet had previously offered services in the unregulated Dutch market, but pulled out last year in anticipation of being granted a licence. They were given a licence last month, and officially launched operations on July 11th.

It's unclear what action, if any, the KSA will take since Unibet has acknowledged the issues and is trying to resolve them.

The news comes on the same day that the Dutch government announced that they're going to be banning gambling ads, starting with broadcast ads before moving onto sponsorships. Those moves come into effect January 1st, 2023.
