GiG Gets Ontario License

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Betting software firm Gaming Innovation Group has announced that they've been granted a gaming license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and will now be permitted to offer its games to casino operators.

The license will allow GiG to provide services to casino operators that also hold licenses in the province. This marks the 22nd jurisdiction that GiG is licensed to operate in. The company is known for its vast gaming platform, which contains casino game products from dozens of suppliers, a sportsbetting product, and several high-end backend tools for casino management.

Regarding the license GiG General Counsel Claudio Caruana said, "In receiving the registration from the AGCO, we have reached another important milestone in our resolute commitment to supporting the igaming industry for regulated markets, and we're delighted to be prepared to power new and potential partners in the province."

Ontario launched its liberalized and regulated online market in April and has seen a boom of operators and suppliers flooding Canada's most populous province with betting services.

Since GiG has been around for so long and are in so many markets, it's not surprising they wanted to get the Ontario license to not lose their Ontario players.
