Gaming operator Bet-at-Home revealed this week that they've surrendered its suspended UK gaming licence and are abandoning the UK market in the wake of the regulator beginning its investigation into the company.
The UKGC said it was investigating multiple suspected infractions, including social responsibility failings and anti-money laundering policy lapses, noting that it's possible the company wasn't suitable to hold a UK licence. In the days prior to the suspension Bet-at-Home closed its UK affiliate programme and said it would stop accepting new UK players for the time being.
A statement from the company said, "Unfortunately, we've decided to surrender our operating licence granted by the UK Gambling Commission and to exit the British market.
"Therefore it hasn't been possible to bet, play or deposit with us as of 6 July, 16:20 UK time. Furthermore, new registrations are not allowed."
Players with funds in their accounts will be able to request withdrawals from their accounts until September 30th, after which time players will have until June 30th, 2023 to contact Bet-at-Home directly to get their funds. If funds aren't retrieved by that time, they'll be donated to GambleAware.

Those are tough news for them. UK is a big market and of course it's become a difficult one to operate in over the past couple of years due to the every-changing regulations. Not sure what other big markets they're in.
