Park Lane Club Rebrands

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

The Park Lane Club in London has been rebranded to Metropolitan Park Lane after betting operator Metropolitan Gaming picked up the rights to the casino.

The casino has been closed since its former owner Silverbond Enterprises lost its gambling license in 2020. The company was fined £1.8 million for duty of care failures as well as anti-money laundering failings, which led to it having its license revoked.

Metropolitan is planning to refurbish the casino, bringing it in line with the other six casinos that it has in London. The group also oversees casinos in South Africa and Egypt.

"We are thrilled to be adding the iconic Park Lane Club to our portfolio of casinos in the UK," said Metropolitan Gaming CEO Michael Silberling. "It is an excellent addition to our portfolio of premier casinos and we have exciting plans to invest in and develop the business moving forward.

"We look forward to welcoming the Park Lane Club team to Metropolitan Gaming and creating safe and memorable experiences for our guests in the new location."

An opening date for the site isn't currently known.
