KSA to Implement Gambling Ad Ban

The Netherlands gaming regulator KSA has announced that they're implementing a new gambling ad restriction, with role models no longer being able to be featured in gambling ads as of June 30th.

The KSA sent letters to both advertising groups as well as casino and sportsbetting operators, indicating that role models are not to be used in gambling ads. Groups that don't comply can see enforcement actions, including fines and other penalties.

The move comes after the KSA previously warned betting groups to avoid using advertising platforms primarily accessed by young people.
