BetMGM Partners With Carnival Cruise Ships

American betting group BetMGM announced that they've come to terms with cruise line operator Carnival Corporation, and will provide retail sportsbooks and internet casino gambling aboard the company's ships moving forward.

The agreement will see more than 50 ships in the Carnival, Holland America, and Princess Cruises brands getting access to the sportsbooks and gaming. The ships that will have access use the company's US ports, and will be able to provide the services once the ships hit international waters. The two groups will also work together to put together promotions for cruise travelers.

Commenting on the deal BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said, "We've found an ideal partner in Carnival Corporation and look forward to providing our sports betting and igaming products to its millions of passengers."

Carnival Corporation Senior VP of Global Casino Operations Marty Goldman added: "We're very proud to be able to deliver the excitement and engagement of sports betting and igaming to our guests through our partnership with BetMGM.

"Our two leading global hospitality organisations will provide a wide array of immersive digital content as a complement to our exceptional shipboard casinos."

The platform and books are being worked in now and will be launched in various phases over the next several months.

Casino ships have notoriously low odds on their slot machines and bad blackjack payouts (6/5). I wonder what they'll be able to get away with, as they operate in international waters and aren't necessarily beholden to any conventions in terms of RTP for games.
