Game developer Armadillo Studios has announced that its first licensed slot game 'The Lioness', will launch in August.

Featuring UFC legend Amanda Nunes, the game includes an array of symbols and features centered around the former two-division champion. The game is a 5 reel slot that features free spins, a fortune bet, Lioness Link bonus, and a Fight Feature. All of these modes combine to offer gamblers a chance to win big. The game will feature baked-in mobile support, in addition to traditional desktop play.

"As we make strides in our U.S. market expansion, we realize the importance of branded content," said Armadillo Studios COO David Soveld. "We are thrilled to finally be ready to release a slot centred around a true, one-of-a-kind MMA icon. The Lioness slot has really come together, and we are proud of the final game product as well as the opportunity to work alongside the legendary Amanda Nunes."

Amanda Nunes held the Bantamweight and Featherweight championships, the first woman to hold two belts at the same time. She ended up losing her Bantamweight belt to Julianna Pena last December. Still, she remains one of the sport's most popular figures, and having a slot with her name tied to it is a boost to Armadillo's slot library.
