The gambling jurisdiction of Jersey's gaming regulator, the Jersey Gaming Commission, has banned the founder of Football Index Adam Cole from holding any position for a betting company regulated on the island.
The move comes a year after Adam Cole's Football Index had its licence pulled by the regulator, as the JGC found the company unfit to operate. The company went into administration and had its UK gaming licence pulled at the same time. The company had been facing financial hardship, and Cole was forced to leave the company in 2020 as the company tried to "reset" itself. Eventually, Football Index was in such straits that it was unable to pay off the money owed to account holders.
After the company went into administration, Jersey conducted a review into Cole, with the regulator deciding he wasn't fit to work in the industry.
Cole hasn't issued a comment as of press time, and it should be noted that he can appeal the blacklisting or have the ruling altered. It is unknown whether or not he'll go that route, but Casino Listings News is following the story and will update readers if any changes arise.
