Greece Ups Max Bets to €20

This week Greece's government approved of a change to the country's maximum bet for online slot machines and table games, upping the limit from €2 to €20 per game.

The affected games include slot machines sanctioned in the country, as well as RNG games and online poker games. Jackpots have also been increased, from €70,000 to €140,000. Spin times have also been decreased, with a three-second delay reduced to two-seconds in-between spins.

The move came after a review of Greece's first year of liberalised online gaming, and it should have an effect on increasing gaming revenues as well as the taxes paid to the state.

The changes are effective immediately, with Greek players now able to put the larger bets down at online casinos licenced by the country.
