Ontario's Online Gaming Market Launches

After months of buildup, Ontario's online gaming market has gone live, allowing gamblers to choose from a variety of casinos and sportsbooks to get their wagers on.

The launch sees a liberalized Ontario market going live, as the previous online betting option was run by the province. Getting to the launch took nearly 3 years, as lawmakers had to pass laws that would take away the province's monopoly and allow for a liberalized market to come to fruition.

At launch there's already a suite of sites to play at, with the following operators offering their services as of today: BetMGM, LeoVegas, 888, Kindred, Pariplay, FanDuel, Bragg, and more. There are more than 30 groups that have applied for a license, and more will be joining the market down the line.

Ontario is Canada's most populous province and is home to major metropolises Toronto and Ottawa.

We'll update this story as the market continues to evolve.

I've been following the Ontario market news and I'm sure more operators will go live there soon, as many casinos are live in Canada and Ontario is a big part of the market.
