NorthStar Gaming Gets Ontario License

Canadian gaming operator NorthStar Gaming announced that they've been granted a license to offer services in Ontario by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and will now be offering their sportsbetting services to the province's adult masses.

The company will be providing a full slate of sportsbetting services in the province, and is hitting the ground running after signing broadcaster Rod Black as a brand ambassador. The former TSN announcer has decades of experience under his belt, calling games for the CFL, NHL, and PGA Tour events. Casino products will be going live in the near future, but are still awaiting sanctioning by AGCO.

NorthStar is unique in the market, as they're a Canadian company and not a global brand. Many big-name players on the North American and European stage have launched in Ontario, with the likes of DraftKings and 888 having a strong presence.

Regarding the licensing NorthStar Gaming CEO Michael Moskowitz said, "As a made-in-Ontario online gaming and sportsbook operator, we're excited to be awarded our registration as we prepare to launch a locally relevant platform for Ontario gaming enthusiasts to experience.

"As a local operator, the opportunity for us to design, build and launch a platform for our home market is very special. We're proud to call Ontario home and look forward to introducing our content-rich platform to consumers."
