Online betting group Flutter Entertainment announced that they're ramping up operations in their Romanian office, revealing that they're planning to recruit 500 employees at the hub.
There are currently 1,000 people at the office, and Flutter indicated that they want to add additional software developments and IT personnel. The hub is where Flutter hosts most of its IT infrastructure, including data security, technical assistance, programming, and backend support. The office was opened before Paddy Power and Betfair merged to create Flutter, and the expansion is going to help the company better work in recent acquisitions Sisal and Tombola.
Regarding the expansion Betfair Romania Genal Manager Ioana Popa said, "It's an ambitious plan and the steady growth rate we've had, including over the last two years, gives us confidence that it's realistic to achieve.
"Betfair Cluj is a centre of excellence in software and shared services, the largest of the Flutter Entertainment group, with an impressive portfolio of our own products.
"We provide an attractive mix of projects, technologies and benefits that IT professionals are looking for for a long-term career, and we pride ourselves on an organisational culture that encourages diversity, creativity and flexibility. We expect to reach the threshold of 1,500 employees by the end of 2023."
