Game designer Play'n GO revealed this week that they've been granted a gaming license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and will be providing games to online casinos in the province when the market launches in April.
Play'n GO is poised to be a big player in Ontario, as the company seemingly puts out at least two games a week. The license will allow the company to provide their games to the various casino operators that are licensed in the province, getting the slots to the eyeballs of potentially millions of online gamblers.
The game developer is looking beyond Canada as well, as the company announced that they're expecting to go live in the United States later this year.
Play'n GO's Chief Commercial Officer Magnus Olsson spoke about the licensing, saying: "Regulated markets are vital not just to Play'n GO's business strategy, but to the industry as a whole; they ensure a safe gaming environment for players, and operators can focus on providing a fun and entertaining experience that is truly sustainable."
"With Ontario's regulated market opening, followed by our entry into the USA, it's set to be an exciting year for Play'n GO."
As of press time we don't know who Play'n GO will be partnering with in Ontario but will update readers as we learn more.
