Bragg Gets Bahamas License

Betting software developer Bragg Gaming Group announced that they've been granted a gaming license in the Bahamas, becoming one of the first licensed online groups that we know of to obtain approval in the country.

The Bahamas launched an online gaming regulation service back in 2014 to little fanfare, and we don't know of any other company that has taken them up on their licensing. The Bahamas has a small population of just under 400,000 people, and is highly dependent on tourism. Licensees have to pay an application fee in the country, house servers there, and

In all likelihood, the country's gaming infrastructure will be set up as something akin to Curacao, where gambling companies have licenses but offer services throughout the globe.

As of press time, Bragg hadn't announced who they'll be working with, but indicated that news on that should be dropping soon.

"This latest license award furthers our global growth strategy and for a market that is one of several that we expect to go live in over the balance of this year.
