Unibet Will Continue to Sponsor 300 Amateur Football Clubs

This week it was announced that gaming operator Unibet will continue its program to sponsor 300 amateur football clubs as a part of the company's "At the Heart of Football" campaign (Au Coeur Du Football for the French-speaking community).

The program will also see the operator donating 10,000 kits, which include socks, shorts, and jerseys for players and volunteers, as well as digital tools for club administration.

This is the fourth year that Unibet has been running the program, and the company says that the aid is more necessary than ever, due to the impact that Covid has had on revenue for smaller clubs.

Regarding the program Kindred France General Manager Mathieu Drida said, "We are very proud to continue supporting amateur football by financing the jersey kits of more than 300 clubs and 10,000 players everywhere in France.

"Due to the current pandemic, a lot of clubs have experienced a massive drop in revenue and have seen their number of licencees decreasing. It was natural for us to strengthen our engagement with the Au Coeur Du Football program and renew for a fourth season."

Clubs wanting to participate can apply for assistance until the end of February, with teams being chosen and announced on March 22nd.
