Novibet Gives Up UK Gaming Licence

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

Gaming operator Novibet has announced that they've given up their UK gaming license and are leaving the market, effective immediately.

The operator posted a message on their .co.uk website, telling players they're leaving the market immediately. Players are also asked via the site to withdraw all funds from their accounts.

The UKGC said that Novibet is subject to normal closing procedures and are obligated to provide clear information to players via different media channels. For their part, Novibet says the decision was made for commercial reasons but gave no other information.

A UKGC Spokesperson regarding the pullout said, "We have been informed by Novigroup Ltd that it is surrendering its licence. The operator is aware that we expect an orderly closure of its website to GB consumers and this includes providing consumers with clear information on how to obtain their funds."

"If a customer has questions concerning their account they should contact the operator via its website."
