This week it was announced that Loto-Quebec will be re-opening its casinos on February 28th after previously closing sites due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The casinos re-opening their doors will be Casino de Montréal, Casino de Charlevoix and Casino du Lac-Leamy, while the Salon de jeux de Québec and Salon de jeux de Trois-Rivières will be opening next week. Casino de Mont-Tremblant will open back up on March 3rd.

Operating hours for the sites will vary by location, and capacity will be capped at 50%, with every other slot machine made available for play.

Vaccination passports will be required for entry into the casinos, and masks will also be required for both patrons and employees. Quebec announced it would begin lifting restrictions, with the province's Premier François Legault saying: "We will need to learn to live with the virus. There may be a sixth wave eventually, but we will have to live with Covid-19."
