Today the Australian Communications and Media Authority has announced that they've blocked 12 gambling websites that the regulator found was illegally offering wagers in the country.

The sites that were found to be acting illegally were: Zebet, Zeturf, Slot Vibe, Arlekin Casino, Johnnie Kash Kings, Lucky Star, Horus Casino, 21 Dukes, Tangiers Casino, 7 Reels, Winward Casino and Thebes Casino.

As a result of the order, all internet service providers (ISPs) in the country will be compelled to block access to the sites. Since the blockages began in 2019, 399 different betting sites have been deemed illegal by the ACMA.

In a statement regarding the blocks, the ACMA wrote: "Website blocking provides a valuable opportunity to alert the public to illegal gambling services through the messaging that appears when there is an attempt to access the site."
