Caesars Signs Henrik Lundqvist to Brand Ambassador Deal

American sportsbetting group Caesars Entertainment announced today that they've signed former NHL goaltender Henrik Lundqvist to a sponsorship deal that'll see the former All-Star serving as a brand ambassador.

The move comes as mobile sportsbetting launched in New York state last week, with Caesars being listed as one of the approved brands. Lundqvist will help promote the Caesars brand in the Empire State, where he served as goalie for the New York Rangers for well over a decade.

There'll also be fan opportunities with the future Hall of Famer, as Caesars works in guest experiences using its Caesars Rewards loyalty program.

Regarding his new ambassadorship, Lundqvist said, "New York has always been a special place to me and it's such an exciting time for this state. Becoming a part of the Caesars Sportsbook team going forward is an exciting opportunity as I enter into my next chapter."

Cesars' Sharon Otterman also commented, noting: "Henrik's legacy in New York speaks for itself after the historic career he had for the Rangers and all of the great work he has done for the state.

"We're thrilled to bring him aboard to help us engage with the passionate sports fans in New York as we offer them a sports betting experience worthy of the emperors they are."
