This week Asian betting operator W88 was announced as a sponsor of the Argentine Football Association, the latest football sponsorship that the company has attracted.

W88 will help push the company's branding in Asia, where the AFF has fans. The sponsorship will give W88 marketing rights to feature the AFF and its teams, and the agreement is good for the current year. Argentina is going to be participating in the World Cup in Qatar, which will bring added visibility to W88 when the tournament kicks off in November.

W88 is known for signing a number of high-end football sponsorships, having already partnered with English Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Leicester City.

"In all these management years we have developed a strong expansion of our AFA brand in markets that in the past, were not commercially exploited such as the Asian market," said AFA President Claudio Tapia. "Thanks to this job, we can build agreements like this one with important brands that find in AFA today, a strategic partner for their marketing plans in this important region. I welcome W88 to our national team´s sponsorship platform."

W88 Business Development Manager Hilly Ehrlich also commented, adding: "This new relationship is really exciting for W88 and represents a huge milestone as a brand in being able to achieve some of our marketing objectives.

"We are a very ambitious brand and are excited to have joined forces with the current South American champions. Being able to link with arguably the world's best player and squad shows the ambitions we have and partnering with one of the favourites for the upcoming World Cup is very exciting."
