Bovada's Site Went Down Last Week

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Last week major online betting group Bovada underwent a massive outage on their betting sites, as Bovada, Cafe Casino, Ignition Casino, and Slots.lv all went down.

The news was first reported to Casino Listings by user Reckless Bets in a forum post, and it was confirmed that all of the sites went down beginning on December 16th before eventually being fully-restored on December 18th.

To Bovada's credit, the company took to social media channels to keep players informed. Browsing their Twitter feed, you can see lengthy threads related to the outage, with the company trying to explain what could have led to the outage, what the company is doing to resolve the issues, and how Bovada was going to make things right with their customer base.

Bovada claims that the outage was caused by a server upgrade that went wrong, and assured players that player accounts and funds were secure the entire time.

In a tweet the company apologized for the outage, noting:

As of press time, Bovada is fully back up and running, as are its sister sites.
