Betting operator BGO Entertainment sent out an advisory to affiliates, notifying them that they'll be closing and ceasing operations on December 31st, 2021.
The company previously had been suspended by the UKGC and had abandoned the market. Now, the company is giving up its Alderney gaming license and ceasing all operations. This comes years after the company spent big money on marketing throughout Europe, often signing celebrities to ambassador deals, appearing on television and on the operator's digital brands.
An email to affiliates said in part, "After a lot of consideration, we have now taken the difficult decision to also cease activity in non-UK markets and we will be surrendering our Alderney licence at the end of the year. Ahead of this, we have blocked deposits and gameplay across all brands.
"With the above in mind, we are writing to notify you that BGO Buddies will close on 31st December."
Making matters even worse, the company said that they were having issues migrating bank accounts and reported problems paying affiliates.
Players who have accounts at BGO are urged to check their accounts for funds and pull the money out as quickly as possible.

Well, that's a bummer. Hopefully they get people the money they owe them.
Oh, I definitely didn't expect this, they're a well known brand. However it does look like their product and overall offers were going downhill in the past years. I only feel bad for the people that might lose their jobs, especially around the New Years due to them closing down.
