Oregon's Sportsbetting Handle Grows to $37.6 Million

The Oregon Lottery's sportsbetting service Scoreboard had a rise in bets handled in October, as $37.6 million was wagered on the app.

The number was up from $25.1 million in September, and is also higher than the $29.5 million handles last year. Gross gaming revenues (GGR) were $3 million, up 7.1% from last year.

Revenues were up 130.8% from the $1.3 million generated in September.

Player registrations were down to 2,873 from 3,208 the month prior. With that said, active players were up to 27,781 from 24,965 in September. Bets placed increased 47.4% to 1.1 million. The average amount wagered was $33.50, up from $32.80 in September.

Football is the most popular sport to get wagers on, with 546,114 bets placed. Basketball had 206,170 bets placed, while baseball had 124,839 wagers placed. Boxing saw a 657% uptick in wagers due to the match between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
