DraftKings Becomes Partner of Boston Bruins

This week it was revealed that American sportsbetting group DraftKings has signed an agreement with the NHL's Boston Bruins, becoming an Official Sportsbetting Partner of the team.

The agreement will see DraftKings getting exclusive marketing rights with the team and inside the TD Garden Arena, where the Bruins play 41 regular-season games a year. The company will also serve as the sponsor of the Bruins' 50/50 raffle that takes place every game.

Massachusetts is currently in the process of legalizing sportsbetting. A bill that would regulate the activity and see it taxed at 12.5% is sitting in the Senate awaiting debate and voting.

Commenting on the deal DraftKings Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz said, "We are thrilled to announce our latest team deal with the Boston Bruins, an exceptional team that like us is relentlessly focused on the fan.

"I'm looking forward to seeing our partnership and branding greet fans wherever they are - online, through the premier Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 raffle which galvanizes viewers while advancing fantastic charitable causes, and in-person, including with the iconic, supersized, digital LED billboard facing inbound traffic into Boston's famed TD Garden."

The Bruins' President and NHL Hall of Famer Cam Neely added: "The Boston Bruins are excited to announce this new partnership with DraftKings, a Boston-based company that has established itself as the premier hub for daily fantasy sports.

"We are looking forward to collaborating with DraftKings to continue to provide the best possible sports and entertainment experience for our fans at TD Garden."
