People inside Portugal may end up seeing less gambling advertisements, as the country's lawmakers have unanimously approved of limits on the industry's ads.
There were a series of four bills that were discussed and debated by the Assembly of the Republic, which wants gambling ads to be treated like alcohol ads. The big hitters for the changes would be Bill 919, Bill 952, Bill 951, and Bill 343. Bill 919 would increase protections for minors related to gambling ads, while Bill 343 would call for additional limitations.
Bill 951 would require ads to have warnings for social games like the Euromillions lottery as well other draw style games. Bill 952 would also implement restrictions and has a provision that would allow self-exclusion from seeing gambling ads on the internet.
All of the bills were passed on October 1st. Now they'll be moving to the Committee on Economy, Innovation, Works, Public and Housing, where they'll be discussed, debated, and further voted on.
There's still a ways to go for these bills to be passed, but it appears there's enough support for passage.

We need that here. The gambling ads are insane and there's like 3-4 every commercial break.
