Wazdan Improves Its Volatility Levels Feature

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

Game designer Wazdan has announced that they've improved the Volatility Levels feature that they offer to casinos by giving the individual sites the ability to set a default level for player volatility on the games.

The levels can be adjusted at will by the sites, with key examples being higher volatility for VIP players or low volatility for more casual players. The company is claiming that the feature gives casinos more control over retaining players, as they can adjust to meet the needs of particular playerbases.

The feature could allow for three different versions of the same game, with a low, medium, and high volatility level for each game.

"We stand apart in the industry as the only supplier to offer games with three different levels of volatility," said Wazdan Chief Commercial Officer Andrzej Hyla. "Now by extending that level of customization to Casino Managers, we're able to bring added value to operators through this unique feature."

"Strengthening our relationship with operator partners is key, and this marks another positive step for us and our popular adjustable features."

Hmm I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think it's ok as far as players have clear visibility on the game volatility and that it's not a secret that games will have varied volatility.

My goodness. Every "online casinos are rigged" conspiracy theorist's head will explode when they read this. It sounds very much like they will have the ability to target individual players. This is not good.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

Yeah that's why I was concerned. Also, every game has very intricate math module, so how can you easily alternate it to fit different volatility? Definitely makes you wonder and I think nowadays there's so many highly volatile games that an average persons balance can barely survive a session with low stakes. Hence I don't think we need even more volatility features.
