Wazdan Gets Greek License

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

Slot designer Wazdan announced today that they've been granted a gaming license by the Hellenic Gaming Commission which will permit the company to provide games to online betting sites in Greece.

The Greek gaming market opened for iBetting in August, with several operators and game developers being approved in rapid succession. This licensing will allow Wazdan to provide its series of games to casinos, with titles like Larry the Leprechaun and the Hold the Jackpot games headlining.

Wazdan hasn't named any partners yet, but we reckon they'll be announced in the immediate future.

Commenting on the agreement Wazdan Chief Commercial Officer Andrzej Hyla said, "We are delighted to receive our Greek licence as we continue to focus on our expansion in regulated markets.

"We're very proud to receive our 16th independent market certification, and we are very eager to see how our games are received in this exciting market."

Since Greece has become a regulated market, more and more casinos are looking to get the Greek license and I think that for game studios to be competitive, it's important to get this license too, especially if their games could work well for the Greek market.
