Italian operator BetEnt is looking to enter the newly-regulated Dutch online gaming market and are partnering with sportsbetting group Kambi to help get that process underway successfully.

BetEnt has secured one of the first ten operating licenses for the country and will be using Kambi platform to power their sportsbook. The agreement is good for multiple years and will cover the BetCity.nl domain. The two companies will also be working together to champion sports integrity and responsible gaming initiatives within the country.

The regulated Dutch market is set to launch on October 1st after years of negotiations, stalls, and wrangling among lawmakers within the country.

Commenting on the agreement BetEnt CEO Melvin Bostelaar said, "It is exciting to enter the regulated Dutch market with such a first-class partner who fully supports and has an unrivaled track record in our values of compliance and sports integrity."

Kambi CEO Kristian Nylen also commented, adding: "Kambi is delighted to have been selected as the exclusive online sportsbook provider to BetCity.nl and provide the support for them to launch on day one of the market opening.

"The Netherlands will be extremely competitive but the combination of Kambi's technology and sports betting know-how with BetEnt's sports-first strategy leaves the BetCity.nl sportsbook well placed to succeed."
