Veikkaus-owned Casino Helsinki has added loss limits to their library of slot machines, with the limits taking effect beginning on September 24th.
The loss limits will be set by the casinos and handled by the shift manager on duty, and Casino Helsinki announced that they've also added a block button to the machines, which will keep players from being able to play once limits are reached.
Casinos in the country were mandated to begin implementing loss limits on machines as well as requiring to have players submit ID for cards, which are then swiped into the machines at the time of play.
This has also allowed the casino to collect data, which indicates that 7% of players account for 50% of Veikkaus revenue for the year to date.
"The provision of gaming management tools is part of Veikkaus' key responsibility measures aimed at preventing gambling harm," said Casino Helsinki General Manager Tiina Siltanen. "The package we offer is unique in the European casino environment. It is great that Casino Helsinki and the future Casino Tampere are pioneers in building a responsible casino world."
