Scientific Games Purchases Lightning Box Gaming

American casino software group Scientific Games Corporation has purchased Australian game developer Lightning Box, giving the former an important partner in growing their online operations.

Scientific Games is working to expand more into the online market, as they've been longer established in land casinos where they develop slots and other betting machines.

Lightning Box already has a foothold in the United States and Canada, having their games offered at the likes of Loto Quebec, FanDuel, Golden Nugget, FanDuel, and others. This agreement will see their games further deployed to SG's partner casinos throughout the globe.

With the closure of the deal, the Lightning Box titles will be integrated into Scientific Gaming's OpenGaming platform.

Commenting on his company's new purchase Scientific Games SVP of Gaming, Digital Dylan Slaney said, "Lightning Box games are hugely popular with slots players around the world, and we're excited to welcome these talented game designers to our team.
