Lightning Box Goes to Colombia With Betsson

Australian game designer Lightning Box has announced that they've partnered with operator Betsson and launched their iGaming services in Colombia, a new market for the company.

The initial launch sees two games, 'Dragon Palace' and 'Blown Away' being the first two games to launch in the market. The games had previously been offered at land casinos in the country, but this marks the first time that the company is offering online games in the country.

Betsson has a global presence and offers casino and sportsbetting services in the country. It's been active in Colombia for about a year, having purchased the local operator Colbet.

Commenting on the deal Lightning Box CEO Peter Causley said, "Colombia's slots players have been enjoying two of our games in bricks and mortar venues for some time now, so we're excited to be able to offer them games on their personal devices too.

"Dragon Palace was a natural one to take live after its early successes and we hope Blown Away goes down well too. We also hope that Colombia is the first of many countries to welcome Lightning Box's games in Latin America as the area continues to regulate."
