Entain to Up Investment in Studios

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

Online betting group Entain announced that they're working to enhance investments in their own game studios to provide unique in-house gaming content to their customers.

The company's development studios will see staff increase by double, up to 300 people. The goal is to provide new games in the markets where the company is operating, which includes large swaths of Europe, the UK, and the United States. Feature sets in games will also be added, with free to play slots tournaments, slots, and additional products like VR are in the pipeline as well.

Entain has gaming studios in the UK, Malta, Italy, and India, and each of these groups will benefit from the expansion. As a whole, Entain oversees some of the largest gaming brands in the world, with the likes of Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin, Party Poker, and Foxy Bingo all falling under their umbrella.

"Our priority is always to create exciting, engaging products that give our customers choice," said Entain Gaming Director Colin Cole-Johnson. "Not only does this enhance the experience for the millions of people who enjoy our products, but is an important driver of Entain's growth. These exclusive, innovative, and tailored games are really valued by our customers. Developing more of our own games means we have complete control over what goes into them, not just in giving our customers a great experience, but also keeping them safe."

It seems like there's a lot studios coming up from both established names and new ones. Interested to see what they will come up with in terms of gaming content.
