Hard Rock Rockford Gets Approval

The proposed Hard Rock Casino Rockford in Rockford, Illinois and will now begin being able to seek out construction permits to build the property.

The Hard Rock was one of three proposed properties that was submitted to the Rockford City Council two years ago, and the process to obtain gaming licenses and approvals for the investors in the project.

The owner of the property will be 815 Entertainment LLC, and the property is expected to cost $311 million. It will include a large gaming floor, hotel, and different restaurants for visitors to frequent.

Commenting on the approval Illinois Gaming Board Administrator Marcus Fruchter said, "Now that the owner of the proposed temporary site and the proposed permanent site for the casino in Rockford has been licensed, that project can move forward with requesting approval to commence construction on the temporary and permanent facility."
