Evolution Launches "Gonzo's Treasure Hunt" Game Show

Online gaming behemoth Evolution has announced that they've launched their newest game show "Gonzo's Treasure Hunt", which brings in subsidiary NetEnt's most popular slot with Evolution's broadcast casino games.

The game mixes game show mechanics with Gonzo's Quest's slot machine mechanic. The game tasks players with looking at a wall where you hunt for treasure within stone segments. Along the way, Gonzo joins you on the side of the reels and works alongside the real person that hosts the show. The game also works in a virtual reality mode, which will let those who own a headset and controller to get a more "inside" experience.

A tutorial on how the game works can be seen below:

"This is our first product that combines the best of NetEnt with Evolution," said Evolution Chief Product Officer Todd Haushalter. "I've been excited to work with the amazing NetEnt intellectual property since the acquisition was announced and we are starting by taking the most famous character in slots and bringing him to live casino."

"This is also the first live game ever where players have such a high degree of control over their game strategy and the potential outcome. Unlike other games where the result is the result and there is nothing you can do about it, in Gonzo's Treasure Hunt™ players take control as they go hunting for their prizes. This is a whole new direction for our game shows as we want to widen the definition of what a game show is - giving the player this level of control will attract a new audience to Evolution. We are continuing to evolve what the gambling experience can be, and this is an incredibly exciting landmark launch."

Gonzo's Treasure Hunt is available now at casinos that offer Evolution's games.

Interesting. I don't know how I feel about it, but maybe after playing it... anyone try it out?

I was checking it out on YouTube as I was curios to see how the infamous Gonzo live game would look. And while the appearance is really good, I find the game quite confusing. Also the win potential seemed smaller than Crazy time for example. But as a non live game fan, this one is a game I could try out.

Haha I'm sorry but had to laugh about the last sentence! I think it's quite an unusual twist on Gonzo but of course some things are better left as classics they are - such as Twin Spin Megaways in my opinion 🙂
