Betting group Entain has announced that they've expanded its regulated market presence by a third over the past year, with 27 markets that it is now fully present in.
The company recently purchased Enlabs AB and Bet.pt, and is now offering services in markets like the UK, Germany, Colombia, Canada, and others. The company is also pushing its development further into Latin America, which is growing as more people get access to computers and internet. The Baltic region is also a focus for the company, as Entain foresees it as growing quickly much in the same way as Latin America.
Entain has made it known that they're working to only enter markets that are regulated in an effort to lend credibility to their brands and secure further stability in the industry.
Commenting on the recent purchases Entain CFO Rob Wood said, "These new acquisitions are in line with our strategy to expand into new locally regulated markets. We are committed to operating only in countries which are either already fully regulated or in the process of regulating and will continue to look for opportunities to expand our business internationally."
"Portugal and the Baltic region represent highly attractive, locally regulated and fast-growing gaming markets. Both these acquisitions further deliver on our growth strategy of expanding across fast-growing international markets."
