Two Charged for Cheating at Encore Boston Harbor

This story was published more than 3 years ago.

Two people have been charged related to a cheating incident at the Encore Boston Harbor Casino in Massachusetts, where the defendants in the case stole $23,500 over the course of two nights.

The two charged in the case are Jianming Li and Jun Zhang, who served as dealers at the baccarat tables. They've been charged with cheating and larceny by a single scheme, as well as making false statements to gambling regulators. The two conspired with a player to cheat the game, and over the course of two nights scored a massive win for the player.

Li supposedly exposed some of the cards and marked them before communicating them to their player, who placed bets accordingly.

The case is still being tried and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. We'll be following the case and updating readers as we learn more.
