Atari to Start Crypto Casino

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Video game brand Atari has announced this week that they're forming an Ethereum-based online casino thanks to a partnership between itself and Decentral Games.

The deal will see Atari launching its online casino in May and will feature the DG currency and will be located on the Decentraland virtual world, where players can partake in different activities. The casino will use Atari non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which have a blockchain fingerprint and can be exchanged back to the DG currency for when you want to cash out.

Atari was once the king of the video game industry, developing a series of classic games and consoles in the 1970s and 80s, before eventually beginning a steep decline to become a shell of its former self. The current roster of games for the site isn't exactly known, but it's probably a safe bet that we'll see some Atari properties making an appearance on the site.

We urge punters to be cautious with sites like this, as they don't have any regulatory information attached, and there's no real information about them being tied to legitimate betting groups.
